Neuromuscular
Massage Therapy - Used for specific injury rehab to stop the
pain-spasm-pain cycle. Appropriate for chronic pain, as well as maintenance to
prevent physical injuries. Increases flexibility, decreases muscle tension,
and ultimately reduces pain. Wellness & Therapeutic Massage - Using
slow, gentle movements, the therapist uses the flat part of their hands and
fingers to lightly glide over the muscles and knead tension out of tight
areas. Swedish massage is beneficial for anyone who needs to relax, unwind,
and reconnect to themselves in a safe and nurturing environment. Great for
stress reduction and overall well-being, improves blood circulation and lymph
flow, stimulates the immune system, and lowers blood pressure.
TMJ
Massage - TMJ is the commonly used acronym for temporomandibular joint
disorder. The pain associated with TMJ is thought to be caused by displacement
of the cartilage where the lower jaw connects to the skull causing pressure
and stretching of the associated sensory nerves. TMJ Dysfunction can by caused
by myriad factors including direct trauma to the head, whiplash from a sports
injury or auto accident, or the stress of daily life. TMJ Massage addresses
the muscles of the neck and head, which when overly tight, can cause jaw pain,
headaches, earaches and toothaches.
CranioSacral System Therapy - A gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the CranioSacral System, which is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. This therapy complements the body's natural healing process and is effective in assessing and treating a wide range of symptoms associated with pain and dysfunction, including: migraine headaches, chronic neck and back pain, motor coordination impairments, colic, central nervous system disorders, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, chronic fatigue, emotional difficulties, stress and tension-related problems, Fibromyalgia and other connective tissue disorders, TMJ Syndrome, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and post-surgical dysfunctions. Manual Lymphatic Drainage - is a very gentle manual therapy that can be combined with other therapies or be done as a stand-alone treatment. Lymphatic Drainage is useful in speeding the healing of injuries, and used in conjunction with Deep Tissue or Neuromuscular Massage can reduce post-session soreness and swelling.
Mobilizes
stagnant lymph nodes and glands and increases your body’s ability to get rid
of waste products.
